RESS Graduate Certificate Programs

Printer-friendly version

The RESS program offers the following Graduate Certificates:

  • Bioenergy
  • Solar Energy
  • Sustainability Management and Policy
  • Wind Energy

The requirements for each of these certificates are to complete a series of prescribed courses – the same courses that are required for the iMPS-RESS program option of the same name. Students who are accepted into the iMPS-RESS program and who have already successfully completed a RESS graduate certificate with grades of B- or better in each course may request to have their certificate courses count toward their iMPS-RESS degree option requirements.

NOTE: In order to receive the official certificate (including recognition on the student’s transcript), students must formally apply for the certificate through the Penn State Graduate School online registration system (and pay the registration fee) – this is separate from the student’s application for the RESS Master’s program.
