RESS Graduate Certificate Programs

Printer-friendly version

The RESS program currently offers two Graduate Certificates:

  • Solar Energy
  • Sustainability Management and Policy

The requirements for each of these certificates are to complete a series of prescribed courses, as described below. Students who consider applying for the RESS Master's program can count those certificate course credits towards their Master's degree. Students who are accepted and completed those courses with grades B- or higher as part of the RESS Master's program can also request the Certificate.

NOTE: In order to receive the official certificate (including recognition on the student’s transcript), students must formally apply for the certificate through the Penn State Graduate School online registration system (and pay the registration fee) – this is separate from the student’s application for the RESS Master’s program.
